Doug Montgomery

Founder · Powell, WY

Born in Seattle. Olympian. Spent 13 years teaching English abroad — mostly in Poland, where he started fundraising events and small businesses on the side. Came back to Powell in 2018 to do the thing he loved most about every business he’d ever built: the web stack underneath.

Doug started building on WordPress in 2006. Built with Elementor from the day it launched in 2016. Today he runs the largest unofficial Elementor Pro community on Facebook — 21,000+ developers. Every Wyohost client gets him on the phone.

Antonio Barreto

Co-Founder & CTO

Antonio is the systems brain. Cloud architecture, AI agents, n8n workflows, the kind of plumbing that keeps a self-hosted production environment from setting itself on fire at 2am. He runs BrainPal alongside Wyohost.

Where Doug brings two decades of WordPress and client-facing depth, Antonio brings the modern stack — the n8n, the AI agents, the custom apps that run alongside (or replace) WordPress when that’s what the job calls for.

The Philosophy

"Find a need, service that need."

Doug has had this taped to a wall in some form since the late 90s:

“Find a need and service that need. Only then will you have success. Any other way of doing business is self-centered.”

In practice that means we don’t pitch you something you don’t need. We don’t bundle you into a care plan to keep our MRR up. We don’t talk you into a rebuild when your current site is fine. The free 45-minute call is genuinely free, and the most common outcome is "you don’t need a new site, here’s what to fix on the one you have."

Some of those calls become clients. Some don’t. Both are good outcomes.

2006 — 2010

WordPress, Deeply

Doug builds his first WordPress sites. Custom themes, hooks, post types — learning the platform the long way before page builders existed.

2011 — 2015

Poland · Side Hustles · Web Tools

Teaching English in Poland by day. Building fundraising sites, small businesses, and the web tools to run them by night.

2016 — 2017

Elementor From Day One

Picks up Elementor the week it launches. Starts the unofficial Elementor Pro Facebook community that becomes the largest in the world.

2018

Back to Powell · Wyohost LLC

Doug returns home to Powell, Wyoming and founds Wyohost. First clients are local: restaurants, retail, vacation rentals.

2019 — 2021

The Care Plan Era

Care plans launch. Hosting infrastructure goes in-house. Clients across Wyoming and into the UK. The Elementor community crosses 15,000.

2022 — 2024

Make.com → n8n → AI Agents

Automation moves from convenience to core service. Make.com first, then self-hosted n8n, then production AI agents wired to client tools.

2025 — Now

Two Tracks. One Team.

WordPress care continues for every client we’ve built for. New clients get the modern stack. Same phone number. Same care.
